Types and sizes of boxer shorts
Boxer shorts come in all shapes and sizes. Besides colors, fun and funny prints, fabrics, finishing and all kinds of boxer shorts brands, there is one more part that men are often quite concerned about. Well, concerned, everything’s relative of course. But we are talking about boxer shorts here. And that’s the length of the cuffs. Longer cuffs are called long boxer shorts, but boxer shorts with shorter cuffs are not called short boxer shorts. Nope, they’re called something completely different. A good name for these would be “shorts”, but that’s a kind of collective name for everything that isn’t a pair of pants with long legs. A boxer short with shorter cuffs is called… trunk. Yeah that totally makes a lot of sense.
Long boxer shorts, these are the real ones
Anyway, if you’re looking for long boxer shorts, then you are in the wrong place if you are looking for them in the trunk department. Let’s start with the underwear that truly is the king of long underwear: your grandfather’s white underpants with long legs. That’ right, we’re talking about those. In the good old days there was no such thing as long boxer shorts as we call them long today. No, long really meant long back then, all the way down to your ankles. Ski sports enthusiasts swear by these and you be hard pressed to stay out on the slopes all day without boxer shorts with long cuffs gentlemen. And we mean really long cuffs. So maybe stop calling them boxer shorts, just refer to them as underpants. Long underwear gents? Use the old-fashioned ones. They may not look very charming, but long means long.
What size do long boxer shorts have?
Okay, back to now. Long boxer shorts have cuffs up to about halfway up the thigh. Shorter moves towards a trunk or a model that doesn’t quite know what it wants: not short but also not long. A compromise of a boxer short. And the cuffs of boxer shorts can reach all the way to the knee, you often see this in sports boxers. That’s really long and those boxer shorts are often tight around your leg. That might be nice when exercising, but whether that’s truly comfortable, we will let someone else decide.
