Undiemeister is transitioning to a more sustainable, eco-friendly packaging solution. We have carefully considered your feedback, and one of the significant areas of improvement highlighted by many was our packaging. Starting now, our products will be exclusively packaged in lighter-weight paper packaging.
Our old packaging has changed little since our establishment in 2019. We were very happy with our cardboard packaging, but we still decided to switch to paper packaging. Customer requests gave us insights into the inconvenience of cardboard packaging. We also saw improvements in sustainability; one of Undiemeister's many core values.
Ease of use of Undiemeister packaging
Undiemeister places a strong emphasis on sustainability, but we hold quality in even higher regard. The quality of the products is of course the most important in this regard, but ease of use is also hugely important to us. An important aspect of this, besides our website, fast deliveries and many payment options, is also the packaging of the products. Can you reuse the packaging, and can you otherwise easily dispose of the Undiemeister packaging?
Well you can. You can easily reuse our packaging temporarily. The packaging consists of 100% paper and can easily be reused. For example, use it as a bookmark, shopping list, store some small desk items or screws in it, or use the new Undiemeister packaging to send something yourself. If reusing our packaging isn't convenient for you, we've made it easier than ever to dispose of it responsibly.
The old packaging consisted of cardboard and had air in the various layers of cardboard. This made the old packaging a lot thicker and had the classic characteristics of cardboard boxes. The new packaging consists of FSC paper, and has no air between the different layers. You can dispose of the new paper packaging a lot easier in the paper container and they now take up a lot less space, too!
More sustainable solution
As well as being a lot easier to reuse, Undiemeister's new packaging is also much more sustainable. The new Undiemeister packaging is now made of paper, whereas the previous packaging was made of cardboard. This ensures that the packaging weighs a lot less, around 41% on average. Lighter packaging in itself reduces emissions when delivering your favourite Undiemeister products.
Furthermore, it is also true that the paper packaging enjoys FSC certification. This means that the paper used for Undiemeister packaging comes entirely from responsibly managed forests. Furthermore, the paper is also unbleached, which makes Undiemeister packaging even more ecological.
New design of Undiemeister packaging
Undiemeister's packaging has now also received some minor design changes. For example, the inside of the packaging is now paper white, instead of the typical colour of cardboard. The outside has also received changes. The text on our new Undiemeister packaging features the distinctive coral red colour, in contrast to the previous packaging, which had a slightly lighter text colour.
Why we pack our products separately
At Undiemeister, we provide individual packaging for all our products, with the exception of socks, a practice that sometimes prompts inquiries from our customers. We've chosen to maintain this approach primarily for hygiene considerations. In fact, we encourage you to try on a single product before tossing all items into the washing machine. When you unbox your order, we can readily identify which boxes have been opened. This allows us to repurpose any unopened items in case the sizing isn't quite right, minimizing waste and promoting sustainability.
