Healthy feet are important, after all, your feet carry you all day long. So you take good care of them, but perhaps the socks you wear all day long are even more important. Socks are on your feet all day, so it's nice to wear soft socks.

But is the softness of socks the most important thing? If you focus on soft socks, you still have a few choices to make. Softness is important, but it's not everything. Because besides wanting your socks to be soft, ventilation is just as important. And by ventilation we mean breathing. If socks don't breathe, unpleasant smells will linger for too long and that really won't please anyone when you take your shoes off. And that is the speed at which your socks absorb moisture. Maybe you don't have “sweaty feet” (such a horrible term), but everyone's feet perspire. So yours likely do too. No problem, but it's nice if the fabric of your socks absorbs moisture quickly so it doesn't create a layer between your skin and the fabric of your socks.
