Long black shirts
On this website, the Undiemeister® online shop, we describe the differences between T-shirts in detail. And often, including now, we say that a simple item like a T-shirt is not that simple at all. One of the differences is the colour most often chosen for a shirt, another difference is the length of a shirt. The combination of colour and length largely determines the choice. We have noticed that a long black T-shirt is becoming increasingly popular and we wondered why.
A long black T-shirt is more multifunctional than a white T-shirt, short or long
A long black T-shirt is very versatile. You can use the long black T-shirt as an undershirt, because the advantage of the length is that the shirt will not easily untuck from your trousers. And a T-shirt that untucks from your trousers is annoying. You have to tuck it back in all the time and naturally, you don't want to be doing that.
And if you forget to tuck your T-shirt back in, you will immediately look untidy. You'll be “the one with his shirt untucked”, can you imagine? Like during a reception, you're wearing a nice jacket (and for the eccentrics among us a tie, where do you still find one of those?), but your shirt is untucked. What a waste of effort.
But a long black T-shirt is not only useful as an undershirt. Many of our black T-shirts are also worn as “regular” T-shirts. In that case too, a long black T-shirt is simply more versatile than a short T-shirt. Even if you don't tuck your T-shirt into your trousers, we rarely see it, but we're sure it happens, the advantage of a long black T-shirt is that you won't be showing your bare stomach or bare back at the slightest movement. We do know that not everyone is worried about that, but a long black T-shirt looks a bit tidier.
Because not everyone is waiting to get a good view of your six-pack (if it’s not a 1-pack). Or a lovely hairy bum crack, when you bend over to grab something. Not that you have one, of course, but a non-hairy bum crack is no treat either. And let's not mention a cold breeze picking up.
