When Undiemeister® started designing the boxer briefs line, that was the question that we had to answer. Because what makes boxer briefs the best boxer briefs, what is the deciding factor? We started by dissecting the boxer briefs into its parts: fabric, design, size, finish, colour. Those are about the most important parts that make up boxer shorts. We reviewed every part through experienced eyes and guided by our personal preferences.

Wanting to be the best in every element of boxer briefs is not easy

Step one was the fabric. We wanted a fabric that would feel silky soft (rather important as packaging of men's private parts, we thought), that is sturdy and therefore retains its quality for a long time, absorbs and wicks moisture well, is hypoallergenic, and hardly pills or shrinks. And is also colourfast. You could say that we set the bar high, but what else can you do if you are looking for the best boxer shorts?

With Mellowood®, the best boxer briefs soon looked to become reality

We managed to develop a fabric from components that met all our requirements. Mellowood® was born! And not only that, because our other requirement was that the fabric also had to be produced sustainably. Because what good is a great product if it's not sustainable? In our opinion, sustainability is no longer a choice but a requisite, especially if you want to create a new product.

Sizing, finish, design, you name it

With a beautiful fabric, you are well on your way to making the best boxer briefs, but you are not quite there yet. Boxer shorts should also provide sufficient support, but not be too tight. You don't want annoying seams in places where you can start to feel them, such as along the buttocks. The legs should not be too short, but not too long either. And oh yes, we wanted to prevent the legs creeping up as much as possible. All in all quite a challenge, but we did say we wanted to create the best boxer briefs. And we like a challenge!

And then there's the colours!

When you have everything in place, you are ready for the final step. What colours do you want, do we choose prints, do we want a contrasting waistband, etc. Actually, it soon became clear to us how we wanted to approach the colours. No loud colours, but calm and sophisticated. Decent, as we like to call it. Understated and stylish. And no standard colours, of course, but shades inspired by nature. This is reflected in our names: Storm Cloud, Volcano Ash, Misty Forest, and others, all inspired by colours found in nature. If you take the time to find them, at least. Because shouldn't the best boxer briefs look great as well?
