The winter months are here again

We're back in the middle of it again, in those cold winter months. That means coat on, scarf on and only going outside when it's really necessary. Although? Especially when it's nice and cold outside, many people really enjoy going for a walk. Through the woods or on the beach. That fresh smell, wind in your face (and with some bad luck, rain too, so plan your walk well). A perfect way to start the new year.

Layer upon layer

Are a thick coat and a warm scarf enough? To ask the question is to answer the question. As we all know, it's all about "layer upon layer." The more layers, the warmer you'll be. Putting on multiple layers on top of each other works much better against the cold than that one thick sweater or that one warm coat. Why is that? There are several theories about that, but probably because between the layers is air, which is heated by your body, and stays warm.

The perfect first layer

That first layer, that's it. That's the layer that makes the difference, the layer that sits directly on your skin. If it's made of the right material, the right fabric, it makes all the difference. And what layer can match Mellowood? Exactly, nothing (according to us, of course, and we are a bit biased). Because Mellowood insulates in just the right way, because it breathes. If that first layer is dense, then the natural moisture cannot get out. Then you'll be warm, but also sticky. Just wrap a plastic bag around your arm and before you know it, it gets wet.

On their own, longsleeves are nothing special, but they are if they are made from Mellowood. Because now your entire upper body, including your arms, is kept properly warm. And especially your arms get cold first. And do you know this? The rest of your body can be warm, but if, for example, only 1 finger is frozen, that's what you focus on.
