On vacation with Undiemeister's premium swim trunks

We wrote it before, more and more customers are asking us to make outerwear as well. Because they are pleasantly surprised about our tailoring and the quality of the workmanship and fabrics. A wonderful compliment of course, but which outerwear suits us best? Because jackets and pants, for example, that's a bit of a "far from our bed" show after all.
Swimsuits are a great step
Swimming trunks are outerwear, but like undergarments, they are worn directly on the skin. So that step is a quick one. And everything you have to consider in the design and manufacturing process is almost the same. Obviously not the fabric, because swim trunks should precisely not absorb water and should dry quickly. But other than that, it's important that the fit is perfect for wearing. Swimming often involves more or different movement, so the fit is adjusted accordingly.
The extras of swim shorts are different from boxer shorts
Same comfort, different use though. Side pockets, for example, not something you need with underwear. And an extra lockable pocket for your valuables, such as a credit or debit card. Nice not to lose that while swimming. Inner shorts are another typical example for swimwear. And a back pocket is handy, for extra stuff. At first glance, many differences, but also not so complex.

The common denominator: stylish and durable
Stylish in finish, stylish in colors, stylish in models. And durable, each in its own way. With the boxer shorts the composition of Mellowood®, from sustainable raw materials, sustainably produced. In the case of the swim shorts, a different approach was chosen, with the same end result: recycling. In this way, no new polyesters are made, but reused what is already there. So no new production process, no new raw materials. And what's more, recycling removes substances from the environment.
In short, from boxer shorts to swim shorts is a beautiful, important and at the same time small step.
