Basics or Premium Essentials?

We have summarised the Undiemeister® range with the term “Premium Essentials”. But why do we do that, and what are those premium essentials? We get asked this question every day, so it is high time for a brief explanation. Undiemeister® started with what are also called “basics”. Premium basics, of course. In the textile world, basics means underwear and socks. And if you want a quick and easy explanation of what you can expect from Undiemeister®, it is useful to summarise this with the word “basics”. And premium, the word says it all: the most beautiful quality, both in terms of fabric, as well as in terms of finish, dimensions, design and not forgetting our colours.

Expansion of the range, from basics to essentials

But how do you summarise the range if it is expanded? By popular demand, Undiemeister® has started producing casual T-shirts, being T-shirts that you can wear on warm, summer days. These items are not called “basics”, because they are not underwear or socks. If we did, you would not be able to tell that other quality Undiemeister® items, i.e. premium, are also available. Or rather, what people can expect from Undiemeister® when they see our logo. This would be misinformation. So, we had to reinvent the term basics.

Items that men will always need

It's easier said than done to find a word that does justice to our range. Because a new term must cover who we are, or it will add very little. We thought long and hard and wondered what it is exactly that we want to offer men. For example, what is typical of underwear? Because “basic”, doesn't actually say much either. Because underwear is an item you will always need. You should always have some in your drawers. In other words, if you don't, you'll miss it. Actually, you always need it. An essential item for men. This goes beyond "basic". And by essential, we don't mean something like a basic necessity, but something that should always be there. Is the word "essential" convey more meaning than 'basic'? And if that is the case, if “essential” describes exactly what Undiemeister® wants to offer men, what else does it include?

Which clothing is essential?

Underwear is essential, we don't think we need to elaborate on that. But a casual T-shirt, or a summer T-shirt, is that also an essential item? In other words, is that also one of those items you should always have in your drawers? We certainly think so. Because let's face it, what man doesn't have T-shirts? Very few indeed, because T-shirts are the most produced textiles in the world. And with good reason, because a T-shirt is an easy item of clothing that you can wear at any time. And when the weather gets warmer, it's not even a choice. You'll have to wear a T-shirt if you want to be comfortable through the day. So the term “essential” aptly covers what Undiemeister® is about and what Undiemeister® offer. And will offer. Essential clothing, for men. This also includes polo shirts and swimming trunks. Essential during hot weather. You really need these items in your wardrobe. Premium, of course, in everything we do.

Timeless collection

The beauty of essential clothing is that it is often not subject to fads. It's possible, but it certainly doesn't have to be the case. And that timeless look fits perfectly with Undiemeister®.
