Undiemeister® has a question for you, and that is: is everyone allowed to see your T-shirt? Huh? What kind of a strange question is that? What do you mean, Undiemeister®? Yes, this may seem like a strange question at first. But it is not that strange, when you consider the purpose of Undiemeister® T-shirts. We have developed an invisible T-shirt for under your shirt!

Fashion shirt

Undiemeister® T-shirts are bought to wear under clothing. Our T-shirts are therefore not intended as outerwear. In other words, Undiemeister® T-shirts are not so-called fashion T-shirts. Which is not to say that we do not apply the latest trends when it comes to our T-shirts, if we think that it will improve our clothing will (which is rarely the case, by the way).

A T-shirt under a shirt

Because our T-shirts are worn under a shirt they are not intended as outerwear. Not that everyone adheres to this, because our T-shirts are so breathable and sweatproof that many a Meister wears his undershirt as a “regular” T-shirt. Especially in the summer. And we think that's fine, of course, because the shirts look great, even if you're not wearing them as an undershirt. But when we’re asking about an invisible T-shirt, we don't mean no one should get to see your T-shirt. What we mean is if or when you wear your Undiemeister® T-shirt as an undershirt, if you should still be able to see the T-shirt.

Invisible T-shirt or not, there's no accounting for taste

What's the problem if your T-shirt is visible under your shirt? Is that a bad thing? You may not remember, but not so long ago your T-shirt was supposed to be visible under your shirt. Think of the close-fitting round collar, which is clearly visible under a shirt with the top button undone. It was supposed to be visible. Look at me wearing a nice, tight T-shirt! It costs a few quid, but just look at it. And to be fair, we still think it's a good look, on some.

The trend changes, and so does fashion

Yes, fashion changes and that's not surprising. Take a look at fast fashion, for example, about which we wrote a blog before. We don't get it, though. Buying a new item of clothing that replaces the previous one every three months, sometimes even every month. Really? Is that necessary? No, that's ridiculous, some say. Do you know how much money you're wasting? Do you know how polluting that is? Yes, others say, because I want to keep up with the rest of my peer group (even though they don't like to admit to it). Or, yes, because I am already tired of that blouse I got a month ago ...

The emergence of the V-neck T-shirts as the first invisible T-shirts

The trend from a visible to an invisible (part) of a T-shirt as an undershirt, especially seeing the collar, has been around for a while. While it used to be “cool” to show off a piece of white collar of your T-shirt, this has clearly changed over time. This started with the V-neck T-shirts. They are designed so that you can no longer see that you are wearing a T-shirt. That is really the only reason. That way the top button or the top two buttons of the shirt could be undone. An invisible T-shirt.
