Orange can be spotted across the world, and orange events take place all year round. Dressed in orange, the Netherlands stands out at many sporting events. And not only that, but often also at the highest level. Max Verstappen is top of the list, as he is the two-time Formula 1 world champion, a sport that, fortunately, is taking steps towards sustainability, by becoming more electric and by the increasing use of sustainably produced fuels. Almost every race ends with “orange on top”, with Max in first place on the podium, listening to the Dutch national anthem.

But Max isn't the only one doing well in sports. How about the Dutch women's hockey team? Since 1974, they have won gold eight times at the World Championships and eleven times at European Championships! The Dutch women's hockey team is currently both European, world and Olympic champion. That is quite something! The men's hockey players have also made a name for themselves and have won European and World Championship titles many times, although in recent years there has been less of a crescendo than with the ladies. And then we have the female and male athletes in ice skating, cycling, athletics and even darts. And the Dutch football team has certainly attracted a lot of attention in the past, but is unfortunately struggling with occasional successes.

And these sports are not the only events that give rise to an Orange themed party. Because the biggest Orange themed party is definitely King's Day. That's when the Netherlands really gets the party started. People dress up in anything remotely orange. From jackets, trousers, jumpers, down to shoes and hats and caps. Undiemeister® can't lag behind when it comes Orange themed celebrations. And although this shade of orange has not been chosen by us as the “standard” colour that matches our other, nature-based colours we use for our T-shirts, it would be a shame not to participate in orange festivities. But it did have to be somewhat exclusive, we thought. And that's how the Royal Dutch Orange Undiemeister® Casual T-shirt came into being. Not an item you will always find in our range, but a temporary and exclusive edition. With a beautiful orange crown in the neck and a subtle Undiemeister® logo on the sleeve.

Unprecedented premium, maximum durability

Washing instructions

Washing your garments at 30 degrees is more than sufficient for Mellowood® fabric. Often, people think that washing at high temperatures is better for the end result. This is not the case because washing at higher temperatures can damage the product or affect the fibres. We have had our products tested using different washing methods and the best washing instructions have been explained below. Mellowood® is naturally a silky soft material, so the use of a fabric softener is not necessary. You can read the washing instructions for our products below.

Washing instructions Pullovers

The special Merino-Tencel combination requires a little extra attention so that the pullover retains its beautiful look and special properties. But rest assured, this is very easy. That way, your pullover doesn't always need to be washed. Because if you hang it out overnight, by the open window for example, it already smells nice and fresh again. If you still want to wash it, use the wool programme in your washing machine. Maximum 30 degrees, with the spin cycle no higher than 600 rpm. A (little) wool detergent is fine and always wash wool together with wool. No jeans or other clothes with zips with it. And to avoid wrinkles, flat drying is best.

Bleaching agents

Never use chlorine or bleach when washing our products. Chlorine and/or bleaching agents are very bad for textile fibres and can strongly influence the durability of the products. They are also very bad for the environment.

Ironing

The Mellowood® fabric is non-iron, so ironing is a thing of the past with Undiemeister undergarments.

Drying

We recommend not putting Undiemeister undergarments in the dryer after washing. The dryer can damage the product and shorten their lifespan. Line drying is sufficient and saves energy. Still want to use the dryer? Use a low temperature.

Shrinkage

The shrinkage of Undiemeister is equal to that of cotton undergarments. With the correct washing instructions (30 degrees), the fabric will hardly shrink. When in doubt, you can use a spin cycle of up to 600 rpm.

We are sure that when the washing instructions are complied with, our products will retain their quality and comfort. If a product no longer meets the requirements after washing, we would like to hear from you. We will then investigate this in order to implement any improvements.
